Gangnam Seoyeon Plastic Surgery Double Eyelid Revision (Skin-Folding / Line Lowering) Before & After Photos
Check out the successful double eyelid revision results by Dr. Choi Dong-il at Gangnam Seoyeon Plastic Surgery, featuring the skin-folding technique to lower high lines.

Hello!
At Gangnam Seoyeon Plastic Surgery, we always do our best to provide highly satisfying surgical results :)
Today, we would like to show you before and after photos of a double eyelid revision (skin-folding, line lowering) performed by Dr. Choi Dong-il of Gangnam Seoyeon Plastic Surgery!
The photos below have not been edited in any way, except for brightness adjustments :)

This is the appearance before the revision surgery.
The double eyelid lines are high and slightly loose. Furthermore, the lines are not clean and appear wrinkled due to scarring.
In cases like this where the lines are very high, simply excising the scar tissue would result in a significant lack of skin, which would make the final shape even worse.
The key points of the surgery in this case are as follows:
1. Create a new double eyelid line by finding as much healthy tissue as possible. 2. Thoroughly release existing scars to prevent re-adhesion. 3. Protect the orbicularis oculi muscle to prevent the inability to close the eyes. 4. Avoid creating additional scar tissue. |

This is the appearance 2 years after the surgery.

In the photo above, you can see the original scar from the skin-folding technique and the newly created line.
The faint white part at the top (indicated in yellow) is the existing scar, and the part below (indicated in green) is the newly created line.

This is a comparison between the pre-operative state and 2 years post-operation :)

Frequently Asked Questions
In what cases is double eyelid revision surgery necessary?
Double eyelid revision surgery may be considered when the double eyelid line is too high, has loosened, or is not clean and appears wrinkled due to scarring. It is especially necessary when the existing line is too high, and there is concern about insufficient skin during scar excision.
What is the core of the 'two-line incision' surgery?
The core of the 'two-line incision' surgery is to find as much normal tissue as possible to create a double eyelid line, and to thoroughly release existing scars to prevent re-adhesion. It is also important to prevent damage to the orbicularis oculi muscle and avoid creating additional scar tissue.
What happens to the scars after surgery?
After surgery, the existing scars will fade and naturally settle below the newly created line. In the post photos, the faint white areas marked in yellow are the existing scars, and the green areas are the newly created lines.
What are the characteristics of Gangnam Seoyeon Plastic Surgery's double eyelid revision surgery?
Gangnam Seoyeon Plastic Surgery operates with a single board-certified plastic surgeon as the chief director, accurately assessing the eye condition and recommending only necessary surgeries. They also have CCTV in the operating room and use only photos with the patient's prior consent.
How long is the recovery period after double eyelid revision surgery?
According to the post, the appearance immediately after removing the stitches on the 7th day post-surgery is shown. Complete recovery and final results vary by individual, but the long-term progress is demonstrated by comparing up to 2 years post-surgery.
Are the before and after photos retouched?
No, according to the post, the photos are not retouched in any way except for brightness adjustment. All photos were taken under the same conditions and are used with the patient's prior consent.
